Arctic Training Course
The Arctic training course is ideal for anybody interested in visiting the Arctic and is particularly ideal for people interested in joining us on the much more serious. Geomagnetic North Pole, Last degree or Greenland crossing. This course is run on demand and is customised for the needs of the participants. As a rough outline the course will cover:
- Efficient movement in the polar regions
- Cross country Skiing
- Use of Ice Axe and crevasse rescues (for those heading south)
- Choice and use of specialist equipment
- Experience travelling with a pulk
- Polar navigation
- Recommended Arctic systems
