Peruvian Mountaineer
Join our expedition to the Peruvian Andes building up to an ascent of “the world�s most beautiful mountain” Alpamayo. Starting with PISCO 5,752m and CHOPICALQUI 6,354m before we attempt ALPAMAYO 5,947m.
Our Itinerary:
Day 1: Meet in lima
Day 2: Drive to huaraz 3,100 m
Day 3: Rest in huaraz 3,100 m
Day 4: Huaraz 3,100 m � 3,900 m Cebollapampa - Pisco Base camp 4.665 m (3 h. Transport and 3 h. Walk).
Day 5: Pisco Base Camp. 4,665 m � Pisco summit 5,752 m - Base Camp 4,665 m (9 h. up and down).
Day 6: Pisco Base Camp. 4,665 m � Cebollapampa 3,900 m - Chopicalqui Base Camp 4.350 m (5 h. Descent and ascent).
Day 7: 4,350 m Chopicalqui Base - Camp. Moraine Camp 4,850 m (5 h. Walk).
Day 8: Camp. Moraine 4,850 mts - Camp. One 5,400 m (4 h. Walk).
Day 9: Camp. One 5,400 m - 6,354 Summit - (return) Field One 5,400 m - 4.850 m moraine camp (14 h. Rise and fall).
Day 10: Camp. Moraine 4,850 m - Camp. Base 4,350 m - 2,500 m Yungay
(4 h. Walk) back to Huaraz (3 h. Transport).
Day 11: Rest day in Huaraz 3,100 m
Day 12: Rest day in Huaraz 3,100 m
Day 13: Huaraz 3,100 m � Cashapampa 2,970 m - Llamacorra lCamp 3,760 m (4 h. 4 h Drive and Walk).
Day 14: Llamacorral Camp 3,760m - Alpamayo Base Camp. 4,300 m (5 h. Walk).
Day 15: Alpamayo Base Camp 4,300m - Moraine Camp 4,900 m (4 h. Walk).
Day 16: Moraine Camp 4.900 m � Alpamayo Camp one 5,400 m (5 h. Walk).
Day 17: Alpamayo Camp One 5,400 m � 5,947 m summit - (return) Alpamayo Camp One 5,400 meters (10 hr. climb and descent).
Day 18: Alpamayo Camp One 5,400 m- Alpamayo Base Camp 4,300 m (6 h. descent).
Day 19: Alpamayo Base Camp 4,300 m - Cashapampa 2,970 m (6 h. Walk) back to Huaraz (3 h. Drive).
Day 20: Rest/spare day
Day 21: Return to lima
Expedition leadership: This expedition is being led by a local IFMGA guide.
