We will be acclimatising by climbing Mt. Meru before tackling the Machame route on Kilimanjaro.

DAY 1 - Arrival drive to Arusha 1265 m
DAY 2 - Trek from Momella gate 1500 m to Miriakamba Hut 2514 m
Enter Arusha National park from the Momella gate to Miriakamba. 10 km, 4-5 hours, 1000 metres ascent
DAY 3 - Trek from Miriakamba 2514 m to SADDLE HUT 3570 m
km, 2-3 hours, 1050 metres ascent
DAY 4 - Trek from Saddle hut 3570 m to Miriakamba hut 2514 m via Summit 4,556 m
(5 km, 4-5 hours, 1000 metres ascent/ 5 km, 4-5 hours, 2050 metres descent)
DAY 5 - Trek & drive MIRIAKAMBA to Arusha
10 km. Hiking Time: 4-6 hours 1300 metres descent

The expedition is led by our incountry team for group smaller than 12 people unless otherwise arranged. Groups of 12 people or more are led by a european qualified leader.
A remote medic/leader can be added to the trip for for £2,000
